Academics, scholarship availability, income of the player's family, and the college coach's recruiting connections play large roles in who ends up where.

There are a lot of mid-major coaches that have ties to a particular country or region so once they get that pipeline laid out the guys keep on coming. Many of the mid-majors are probably able to offer close to a full ride to some of these guys whereas they would only get a fraction at a larger school. An 80% scholly to a Morehead State could mean only a few thousand dollars out of pocket for tuition but a 20% scholly to a Stanford could still mean $50K+ out of pocket. Many can't afford to pay that much so the larger scholarship at the smaller school is the better option.

Bobby why do so many foreign students end up in random schools like Morehead State but some like Maciek Romanowicz and Karue Sell end up in phenomenal schools like Stanford and UCLA?
That's likely. Nevertheless they definitely need more guys after this massive roster drop. Alabama is this year's Mississippi State.
It'll be interesting to see where he fits in – probably lower end of the lineup – best win was over Michigan State's #1.
Ritchie Kruunenberg transferred from Morehead State to Alabama. I believe he has 1 year of eligibility left.
Thanks – I was looking at the name in the first round column and they had it spelled Rishad.
