The USTA announced the six-member team that will represent the United States in the 11th annual Master’U BNP Paribas International Collegiate Team Competition which will take place from December 1st – 4th in Marcq-en-Baroeul, France. The team will be comprised of North Carolina senior Hayley Carter, Ohio State sophomore Francesca Di Lorenzo, UCLA freshman Ena Shibahara, Georgia Tech junior Chris Eubanks, Stanford junior Tom Fawcett, and Northwestern senior Strong Kirchheimer and will be coached by Boise State men’s head coach Greg Patton. Team USA has won the World Team Tennis style event five years in a row and six times in the event’s 10-year history. The other seven countries participating are Belgium, China, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, and Russia. Here was a brief recap I did of last year’s final which was a 4-1 win over France.
I haven’t seen an official release from East Tennessee State but I noticed that Ricardo Rojas is now listed as the new women’s head coach. Rojas, who graduated from ETSU in 2007 after playing at Arkansas-Little Rock, Tulsa, and ETSU, has been on the men’s staff as an assistant coach since 2008 and replaces Travis Sandland who stepped down a few months ago to take the same job at Stetson.
LIU Brooklyn also hasn’t made an official announcement but they are showing Anthony Davison as the new women’s head coach. Davison, who played collegiately at Charlotte from 2009 to 2012, replaces Rose Ketmayura who left after two seasons to take the same position at Southern Utah. Since Davison graduated from Charlotte he has served as a Tennis Pro at the John McEnroe Tennis Academy, been the Head Tennis Pro at the The Club of Riverdale in the Bronx, and served as a Volunteer Assistant for the Columbia women’s team.
Wake Forest men’s head coach Tony Bresky announced the hiring of Chris Eaton as the Deacs new assistant coach. Eaton played professionally for six years and had also been coaching on the pro level for the last several years. He replaces Jeremy Feldman who took the head coaching job at Charlotte earlier in the summer.
Former Hartford head coach Torr Terranova is now the men’s assistant at Quinnipiac. Terranova served as the head coach for both the men’s and women’s teams for the last three years before the school decided to discontinue both programs. Note – this hiring happened back in August but I didn’t see it until recently.

National Signing Day was last Thursday but several more signings have come in over the last several days including Ohio State’s announcement that John McNally and JJ Wolf are officially going to be Buckeyes. Both McNally and Wolf are top-end TRN Blue Chips and both carry a Universal Tennis Rating of over 14 so things are looking really good in Columbus.
Really excited to welcome these two guys to the OSU Tennis Family. Two of the country’s best. #GoBucks

Stanford signee Michaela Gordon, who has the third highest women’s UTR at 11.87, talked to Colette Lewis about her decision to choose Stanford. The feature on the Tennis Recruiting Network said her final two were Duke and Stanford.
My table below has this year’s signees sorted by UTR; you can view it in a separate window by clicking HERE. I’ll keep adding more signees as I come across them.
