I got caught up working on my men’s preseason top 25 so I wanted to circle back around and go over some tournament results from this past weekend. Princeton commit Ryan Seggerman won the USTA National Winter Championships in Scottsdale after only dropping one set in seven matches. Seggerman defeated Jenson Brooksby 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 in the semifinals and Robert Maciag 7-5, 7-5 in the finals. Liberty commit Sebastian Mermersky made it to the semifinals before falling to Maciag while Virginia commit Matthew Lord, Notre Dame commit Richard Ciamarra, and Indiana freshman Bennett Crame made it to the quarterfinals. Lord and Vanderbilt commit Maxwell Freeman fell in the doubles final to Christian Alshon and Trey Hilderbrand.
Elysia Bolton, who is a class of 2018 UCLA commit, made it to the quarterfinals before falling to Sara Choy in straight sets. NC State commit Taylor Bridges and Arkansas commit Tatum Rice advanced to the doubles semifinals before falling to Jessica Aragon and Emilee Duong. Full results from all draws are available here.

Memphis graduates Connor Glennon (’15) and Cedric De Zutter (’14) won a main draw doubles wild card into the ATP 250 Memphis Open after winning the Southern Indoor Open at the Racquet Club of Memphis. Glennon and De Zutter defeated Georgia sophomore Walker Duncan and Memphis native Marshall Sullivan 7-5, 6-4 in the finals.
Even though Duncan came up short in the doubles final he was able to win the singles title with a 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 win over former Memphis Tiger Jarryd Woog. Duncan defeated Glennon, who played No. 1 at Memphis, 6-7(3), 7-6(2), 7-6(5) in the semifinals and Ole Miss junior Grey Hamilton 6-2, 6-2 in the quarterfinals.
2005 Drake graduate and local tennis pro Zorana Stefanovic George defeated 2017 TCU commit Meredith Roberts 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 in the women’s singles final.

William & Mary senior Aidan Talcott defeated Cornell junior Daniel Grunberger 4-6, 7-6(6), 7-5 in the USTA National Open Men’s Final which was held at the USTA National Tennis Center in Flushing, New York. St. John’s graduates Milo Hauk (’12) and Vaidik Munshaw (’16) won the doubles final over Nicholas Shamma and 2012 Northwest Missouri State graduate Malcolm Harrison 7-5, 4-6, 6-2.
St. John’s freshman Jessica Livianu won the women’s singles final 7-5, 7-6(2) over 2017 Notre Dame commit Caroline Dunleavy and Livianu and Dartmouth senior Taylor Ng won the doubles final 7-5, 6-3 over Rachel Lim and 2017 Illinois commit Mia Rabinowitz.
