The ITA released its latest team, singles, and doubles rankings today with the Wake Forest men and Florida women remaining in the top spots. In the men’s team rankings the only change in the top 10 was Texas moving up from 8 to 7 while UCLA fell from 7 to 8. Arkansas made the biggest jump in the top 50 by coming up 16 spots to No. 34 after defeating Kentucky and Vanderbilt while Tennessee had the second biggest jump by climbing 13 spots to No. 46 after picking up wins over Alabama, Charlotte, and LSU.
Over half of the women’s top 10 changed with Vanderbilt making the leap up to No. 2 after defeating Florida and South Carolina while Georgia fell from No. 2 to No. 4 after losing to Texas A&M. TCU and USC each came up seven spots to No. 24 and No. 32 respectively. TCU’s jump was due to an upset win over Texas Tech while USC’s jump was courtesy of a pair of road win over Arizona State and Arizona.
These team rankings were comprised of each team’s nine best wins and all losses and it’ll stay at nine up through the selection of the NCAA field. If you want to get an early look at what next week’s rankings look like you can view my real-time rankings which are available to all College Tennis Today subscribers.
