TCU’s west coast trip has been a good one so far as the Horned Frogs won their third straight with a 6-1 win at UC Santa Barbara. TCU won the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 then they took four first sets in singles. Cameron Norrie, Guillermo Nunez, and Reese Stalder won in straight sets with Nunez clinching at No. 3. Alex Rybakov and Jerry Lopez won in third sets while UCSB’s Chase Masciorini double-bageled Gianni Mancini at No. 6. I’m not sure how Masciorini’s match didn’t finish first but according to the box score it was the second to last match to finish.

The announcement says the tennis center will be constructed within the next five years so until then PSU will continue to play at their current four-court indoor tennis center on campus.

The next set of ITA team rankings will be out tomorrow but I thought I’d give everyone a “free” sneak peak at what I’m projecting the top 20 to look like. There will be a new men’s No. 1 with Wake Forest bumping Ohio State from the top spot while Stanford makes a big jump up to No. 20.
The women’s top three will stay the same but look for Stanford and Georgia to jump up to No. 4 and No. 5 after big weekends.
