3 of the 8 Men’s ITA Regions started main draw singles action on Thursday while the Mountain Region got a head start on everyone else with a Wednesday start and will play its quarterfinal round on Friday. I made note of the seeded losers under each regional and updated draw links to include Thursday’s results. 

 
Southwest (Pepperdine) – Singles/Doubles Draws – 14 of the top 16 seeds advanced to the Round of 32 with the two seeded upsets coming in the same 1/8 of the draw. UC Santa Barbara senior Teague Hamilton knocked off the 15th seed Pepperdine’s Stefan Menichella 4-6, 7-6(2), 7-5 while San Diego State sophomore Sander Gjoels-Andersen upset the 7th seed Cal Poly’s Ben Donovan 6-3, 1-6, 6-3.

Mountain (Las Vegas) – Singles/Doubles Draws – there have been several upsets in Las Vegas with the biggest coming when the top seed Denver’s Diogo Rocha retired early in the first set of his second round match against Nevada’s Jonathan Aremon. Other seeded upsets – Northern Arizona’s Tim Handel routed the No. 6 seed Utah State’s Jaime Barajas 6-2, 6-0 in the Round of 32; New Mexico’s Ricky Hernandez Tong defeated the No. 7 seed New Mexico’s Hayden Sabatka 6-3, 6-3 in the Round of 16; New Mexico State’s Christofer Goncalvas ousted the No. 8 seed Denver’s Yannik James 6-4, 6-4 in the Round of 32; Montana’s Victor Casadevall beat the No. 5 seed New Mexico’s Bart Van Leijsen 7-6, 2-6, 6-1 in the second round.

Ohio Valley (Tennessee) – Singles/Doubles Draws – the first two rounds of singles were played on Thursday with 14 of the top 16 seeds advancing to the Round of 32. Lipscomb’s Rob Mitchell upset the No. 6 seed Vanderbilt’s Cameron Klinger 7-6, 3-6, 6-3 in the opening round and Middle Tennessee State’s Tom Moonen defeated the No. 14 seed Indiana’s Antonio Cembellin 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 in the Round of 64. Memphis had a nice recap with all the results listed in order of seed so check it out for easy viewing.
