Another great week for former college players as both Evan King (Michigan ’13) and Clay Thompson (UCLA ’14) each won their first professional singles title. Thompson didn’t drop a set or get broke all week in route to winning his title in Manzanillo, Mexico while King only dropped 1 set in route to his title Harare, Zimbabwe.
Kevin Anderson (Illinois ’07) made his 2nd career final in an ATP 500 event (lost to Dimitrov 7-6(5) in 3rd in Acapulco in February 2014) but came up just short against #3 Andy Murray.
Adrien Puget (UCLA ’14) made his second final of the year (won Spain Future in April) before falling 6-4, 7-6 to Zhizhen Zhang in the France Future.
James McGee (NC State ’08) made his second consecutive challenger semifinal before falling to Denis Kudla in the Ilkley, Great Britain $42K Challenger. McGee has yet to win a title this year but he’s been close with 2 Challenger Finals (Savannah & San Luis Potosi) and now 3 Challenger Semifinals (Ilkley, Surbiton, Maui). McGee will have a new career high singles ranking when the new ones come out later today.
Winston Lin (Columbia ’15) made his first ever semifinal before falling to Maximiliano Estevez 7-5, 6-0 in the Buffalo Future. He should have a new career high ranking when these 6 points are added in next week.
Greg Ouellette (Florida ’08) made his first semifinal since Orange Park in May 2014 before falling to Jose Pereira in the Netherlands $15K Future.
Tom Jomby (Kentucky ’14) made it to his 5th semifinal of the year before falling to Amir Weintraub 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 in the Israel Future. Jomby should have a new career ranking when these 6 points are added in a week from now (Future points are added a week after the fact). Jomby is now 1-4 in semis this year.
Jaime Pulgar-Garcia (NC State ’12) made it to his 4th semifinal this year before falling to eventual champ Martins Podzus 7-6, 6-4 in the Turkey Future. Pulgar-Garcia is now 2-2 in Future semis this year.
Dragos Dima (Cornell ’12) made it to his 4th semifinal this year before falling to Teodor-Dacian Cracium 3-6, 6-1, 6-2 in the Romania Future. Dima is now 1-3 in Future semis this year.

Wonder why USTA Pro Circuit has the wrong ATP points in the men's futures tournament notes. 10K should be 1, 2, 6, 10 and 18, as you posted, but USTA has 1, 2, 5, 9 and 17. Here's an example: http://s3.amazonaws.com/ustaassets/assets/1/15/rochester_media_notes3.pdf
That is amazing. Looks like Resultina essentially serves as a database; I'm learning something interesting. Cannot think of any other person with more knowledge on college tennis. Thank you very much!!
I added Winston in to the list of semifinalist. Not sure why I skipped him – guess it was too high on the page.

As the draws come out I scroll through them to see what names I recognize and just start manually making a list. Once I've got the list created it only takes a few minutes each day to look through the results and update them. I use a good app called Resultina which makes it easy to track them.
You are doing a great job in providing updates for former and current college players on tour. Curious – how do you track all these? Manually reviewing all is unthinkable. One correction – Buffalo Futures: Winston Lin (Columbia '15) also reached semis.
Thanks for the comments – I just added the button back in below my twitter feed. Thought about doing it before but had held off.
Wow this is amazing amount of content that I love to follow. It is great to see where all these guys are playing. Please get a donate now button up on this site so those that choose to do so can help you out, even if just a little bit at at time. (I assume anything helps.) I enjoy this site in the morning more than an overpriced cup of coffee at Starbucks, would rather give you the money.
