It’s NCAA selection time with the committee’s choices set to be revealed at 5 p.m. ET (women) and 5:30 p.m. ET (men). The women’s selections will be made first at this link and then the men follow 30 minutes later at this link.
If the selection committee goes off ITA rankings as its primary criteria, which they always do, then we pretty much know who is going to make it based off the projections on CollegeTennisRanks. I’ll list those teams down below by projected seed.
If you want to get an idea on where each team will be placed you can check out the bracket projections on Slam Tennis (toggle between men/women). Slam Tennis also has a nice feature called You Be The Judge where you look at two resumes without seeing the school and you pick which one you think is more deserving of the higher seed.

Wouldn't Ole Miss be ahead of UT since they have the H2H win?
Good catch – I somehow missed that. Also Georgia beat Texas too so I suppose Ole Miss could be 5, Georgia 6, and Texas 7 though Texas does have more top 50 wins. The committee seems to get more creative on the women's side so it would surprise me to see it either way.
On the women's side this draw creates some interesting round of 16 matchups. Stanford v UNC and Pepperdine v Duke are intriguing and difficult matches for the ACC teams.
Pepperdine should be 12 with Northwestern at 13 and UCLA at 14…
Virgonia and Georgia got fortuitous draws. It could have been much worse.
How does UVA have a fortuitous draw? They will not be advancing past Columbia. Columbia has wins over Baylor, OSU, Texas Tech, Ole Miss 2x, Vanderbilt, Harvard, ODU. They were #5 in the country at one point.
VCU is a 3. Monmouth is the #4 there.
Basically that is the easiest grouping with #16, #43, #69 and #160. Average ranking is 72. In the Southern Cal Division rankings are #10, #17, #34 and #56. Average ranking is 26.
Therefore, it is Columbia that has the fortuitous draw. UVA may feel lucky not to be at Ohio State or Florida. But, I'm sure they are taking Columbia seriously.
Virginia is at Columbia because of geographical proximity, which is always a factor.
