Tulsa showed up at the LA Tennis Center with nothing to lose after upsetting USC and Pepperdine and lose is exactly what they did. Billy Martin’s boys came to play and they gave Tulsa a pretty thorough beating in every facet of the match. UCLA’s #1 and #3 doubles teams both posted 6-0 shutouts to seal the doubles point and give UCLA the early 1-0 lead.Things never got any closer in singles as UCLA cruised to 5 1st sets and the 2nd sets went just as quickly with Mackenzie McDonald, Dennis Mkrtchian, Martin Redlicki, and Karue Sell all winning in straight sets. It seemed like the story of the day wasn’t who was playing; it was who wasn’t playing as several big names were missing from their respective team’s starting lineups.
