Going into today’s match against #12 Wake Forest, NC State had played in 11 matches that finished with a 4-3 score with the Pack on the losing end in 7 of those 11 matches. It was just last weekend that NC State had #16 Virginia Tech on the ropes but the Pack couldn’t slam the door shut and watched as the Hokies #5 rallied from 5-2 down in the 3rd to win.Today NC State finally broke through as they upset Wake Forest 4-3. The Wolfpack took the doubles point with wins at 2 and 3 and then picked up singles wins from Simon Norenius, Austin Powell, and Beck Bond at 2, 3, and 4 to seal the deal. The match was played indoors at NC...

Well the big match of the day was actually a good bit closer than I thought it would be after noticing that Vanderbilt was without its #1 singles player #10 Gonzales Austin who also makes up the #1 doubles team in the country with Rhys Johnson. I still haven’t seen anything official from anyone on why AJ didn’t play but if I had to guess I’d say he was under the weather which I can relate to. Ohio State just doesn’t lose at home and they proved it again on Sunday winning for an unbelievable 200th time in a row as they handily beat a Top 25 South Florida team 4-0. The streak began all the way back on April 6th, 2003 with a win over Purdue and has grown and grown as the years have gone by. During the week I’m going to compile a list of everyone that Ohio State has beaten at home in the last 12 years so look for that no later than Wednesday. Here is a good article that Colette Lewis wrote on the streak back in 2013.In my opinion the biggest surprise for Ohio State this year has been the play of Chris Diaz at #1. Last year...
